2024
In the spring and summer of 2024, I ventured into the enchanting landscapes of Ardèche, France, to capture the vibrant life of its wildflowers through the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) technique. With each image, I sought to move beyond traditional photography, creating painterly impressions of the region’s wildflowers. Among this series we can find shapes of blue irises, the soft blush of cherry tree flowers, the warm yellow of genista blossoms, and the deep magenta of maple leaves.
The use of ICM in this project brings a sense of fluidity and motion, blurring individual petals and leaves into sweeping strokes of color and light. Each image evokes the essence of the season, inviting viewers into a world where flowers seem to sway and breathe with the rhythms of the wind. This series is a tribute to the region's diverse and delicate flora, transforming the quiet beauty of wild blooms into an abstract, immersive visual experience.
Through the Liberflos series I sought to reveal a sense of wonder and imagination, blurring the line between the real and the surreal. The flowers in this series are not just images; they are visions—expressions of a hidden world where nature’s quiet beauty merges with the fantastical, inviting viewers to explore Ardèche’s wild blooms through a portal of light and motion.
